Richmond has taken in the eighth largest population of Ukrainian refugees in London.

Over 650 households have welcomed Ukrainians into their homes with over 1,000 arriving in the borough since March 2022.

This number is also the sixteenth highest nationally according to the council.

Richmond has officially been named a Borough of Sanctuary for its work welcoming and supporting refugees coming to the area.
