In the biggest shake-up in over 50 years, residents are being asked to vote between two options:
The first would mean three unitary councils – backed by Reigate & Banstead and most other local councils.
Under this option, a new East Surrey council would cover Reigate & Banstead, Tandridge, Mole Valley, and Epsom & Ewell.
The second would mean two unitary councils – supported by Surrey County Council and two other councils.
This version of East Surrey would also include Elmbridge, along with the same areas as above.
Reigate & Banstead and Crawley suggested forming a joint council, but the Government is not including this idea in the consultation.
It runs until 5 August, to take part, click here.
