Two young people aged 12 to 13 years old in black tracksuits were seen by a dog walker firing a catapult killing a duck on Tuesday.
The incident happened at around 6 o’clock in the evening along the canal tow path near to Scotland Bridge Lock.
Any witnesses of incidents like this should report it immediately, as it is an offence to intentionally kill, injure or take any wild bird.
