Private developers have held a meeting with Richmond Council with the aim of tackling the issue of affordable housing.

Attendees discussed planning policy, viability concerns, and the wider context of building in a borough with protected natural environments.

Social housing providers also attended the meeting.

The council says the event was the first step in building a more consistent and constructive relationship with the sector.
