At around 9.35pm on Tuesday, the 23rd of April, officers were called to Nutfield Road at the junction with Southcote Road following a collision between the drivers of a white Nissan Leaf and a white Audi S5.
The driver of the Nissan, a man in his 40s has since died.
A man in his 30s was arrested for failing to stop at the scene of a collision, for causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and for driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
He has been released on bail while our enquiries continue.
