Police in Elmbridge have taken part in a walking football session in Walton to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.

The game involved the Safer Neighbourhood Team, Surrey Police Ladies FC, and the Ladies Walton & Hersham Walking Football team.

Officers gave out running whistles, emergency power bank keyrings, and anti-spiking devices, along with personal safety advice.

Police say more sessions are planned with women’s, men’s, and mixed football teams to discuss other community safety issues.
