Officers were called to Station Approach after two teenage boys reportedly threw a substance in a victim’s face, causing it to burn, on the 28th of July.
A 13-year-old was arrested on suspicion of using a corrosive substance with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
