They’re appealing for witnesses after a large disturbance in Lauser Park on Town Lane on Sunday.
Officers were called at around 8:30pm following reports that a group on mopeds, armed with knives, tried to steal an electric bike.
The attempt failed when the suspects couldn’t start their moped and fled the scene.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately.
