They’re appealing for witnesses to an incident that took place along Wilmerhatch Lane at around 6pm on Friday the 5th of September.
They specifically want to speak to two women who stopped to assist the victim, and the driver of a Tesco van who drove past.
A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of assault and attempted kidnap but has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
