People living near a former golf course in Chessington say they’ll fight tooth and nail to save it from development.

Ashill wants to build 256 homes on the land in Garrison Lane by 2031.

But those opposing the plans say the development threatens to set a precedent in Kingston for building on the Green Belt.

The developers disagree that the land is Green Belt, saying it is in face Grey Belt, which can be built on.

The deadline for objections to Kingston Council is tomorrow.
