More than 4,500 people took part in Sustainable September last year, but the council wants to increase that number.
Activities scheduled for the month include gardening workshops, clothes swaps and free street closures on Car Free Day on the 21st.
Anyone who wants to hold an event need to register via the council’s website by August the 15th.
