People in Kingston and Richmond are being asked to consider becoming Compassionate Companions.

The volunteer roles will see people support patients, and their loved ones, at the end of their life.

Those who are interested would need to be over 18 and available for three hours a week at Kingston Hospital.

Volunteers will sit and chat with patients, as well as help advocate for them or simply hold their hand.
