People are being asked not to throw wood into a pond on Wimbledon Common.

Conservators have been restoring silt levels at Queensmere to help protect the wildlife that calls it home.

But they say when people throw branches and logs into the water it creates more silt as it rots which undoes their hard work.

Anyone who spots a fallen branch is asked to leave it where it is.
