The Council is taking part in the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
New data published by the action group has revealed 8.2 million baskets of fruit and veg are wasted every year in homes.
That’s because people have bought more than they will use.
The aim is to encourage people to choose what they’ll use and only buy what they need.
