It’s shut in both directions between junction 10 of the M25 and the Painshill roundabout until Monday morning.
The junction widening project began in 2022 and is due to finish later than planned in spring next year.
Engineers are working to add a new lane to the A3 at its junction with the M25 as part of the £317 million scheme.
