The landmark, which has appeared in the likes of hit Netflix show Bridgerton, links the landscaped park to its famous grotto island.
Engineers advised the Painshill Park Trust that the bridge had several structural issues last March and it closed to the public.
The supporting pillars of the bridge, which was last restored in the 1980s, have become unstable and the bridge now needs to be replaced.
The first version of the Chinese Bridge was built in 1760.
