Older residents who prefer to avoid the bustle of Notting Hill Carnival are once again being offered the chance to go to the seaside instead.

It’s part of an annual scheme jointly run by Kensington and Chelsea Council in partnership and Age UK.

The three-night break over the Bank Holiday weekend to Eastbourne includes return coach travel, accommodation and insurance.

It’s for the 21 people who live directly on the Carnival route and they’ll return once street cleaning has finished on the 26th.
