Native trees are to be planted in woodland in an area of Elmbridge to help prevent disease from spreading.

Maintenance, including felling, is currently taking place at Stokes Field and Ditton Common until the new year.

The council says some of the Ash trees, which are native to Europe, Turkey and Africa, are suffering from “die-back”.
