MPs have been told a Heathrow terminal could have re-opened hours after a fire caused a power cut.

More than 270-thousand journeys were disrupted last month, when the airport shut for a day.

Heathrow boss Thomas Woldbye says it would’ve been ‘disastrous’ otherwise.

Nigel Wicking, the head of a body representing dozens of airlines, also claims to have raised concerns previously about power supply, after some wire theft knocked out the runway lights.
