Wandsworth has the highest percentage of 20- to 44-year-olds living within the borough in London.

Wandsworth Town Centre has also been earmarked in the plan for the building of 3,000 new homes.

Council bosses say any developments would be supplemented with extra transport links and green spaces.

But some residents say there is no appetite for more high-rise buildings but there is a need for GPs and dentists.

Wandsworth Council is on course to deliver 1,000 new council houses by 2029.

It says the Growth Plan would accelerate this figure.
