More than £8,000 is still needed to repair a statue in Hammersmith.

The Leaning Woman was created by sculptor Karel Vogel, who arrived in Britain from Prague in 1938 after fleeing the Nazis.

Residents and supporters have so far pledged £9,000 in donations while Hammersmith and Fulham Council has donated £20,000.

A further £11,000 has been contributed by the charity Heritage of London Trust which initiated the statue restoration project.
