More than 70 vehicles have been stopped as part of a police operation targeting rural crime across Surrey.

Over 50 dedicated officers joined up with Sussex Police, Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police for the action.

Four vehicles were also seized with the driver of a Tipper lorry stopped for carrying suspected illegal waste for fly tipping.

More than 30 farms were also visited so landowners could be issued with advice on protecting their machinery.
