More than 2km of footpaths and cycleways are to be restored on Wimbledon and Putney Commons.

It’s part of a £1.5 million investment in projects nationwide by South Western Railway.

The “Winding your way to the Windmill” scheme will create easier access between Wimbledon’s famous windmill and Putney Common.

£75,000 of funds from SWR is being matched by just over £25,000 from Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators.
