More than 100 flood warnings are in force in England as forecasters warn of no prolonged dry spell for at least a week.

The Environment Agency says flooding and travel disruption’s likely, with more downpours forecast.

There are a handful of flood alerts in place in Wales and Scotland as well.

People living in Chertsey are being warned to stay away from areas liable to flood in particular Eastworth Road and Hamm Court.

However, as of 3.30pm, flood alerts were no longer in force for  the River Mole and its tributaries from Kinnersley Manor to South Hersham or the Lower River Wey.
