More outdoor cinema and theatre events are being encouraged in Richmond’s open spaces.

The council is consulting residents on its new draft policy for events in the borough’s parks which should be adopted later this year.

But there will be limits on the size and frequency of events and permitted hours of operation.

Event organisers will also need to show a commitment to reduce waste and promote public and sustainable transport.
