Surrey County Council has expanded the areas covered by the Aira Explorer trial to now include the likes of Leatherhead and Epsom.
The app allows travellers to place a video call with a trained visual interpreter on speakerphone.
They look through the person’s smartphone camera to guide them between the bus stop and nearby train stations.
The visual interpreters can also help read timetables.
