Morden’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is about to hold its 59th annual convention which is the largest of its kind in the UK.

The Jalsa Salana will host 40,000 participants from more than 100 countries with the aim of promoting peace.

There will be keynotes’ speeches, exhibitions, a raising of the British flag and a human chain as a gesture of unity over three days.

The event is taking place this weekend in Alton in Hampshire.
