Mole Valley District Council says it will continue to press Gatwick Airport bosses on how they plan to protect the environment.

It’s after the government gave consent for expansion there earlier this week.

The move will see the emergency runway brought into regular use in order to create two working ones.

Mole Valley councillors has consistently opposed Gatwick expansion plans, citing concerns about noise and air pollution.
