Mitcham and Morden’s Labour MP says the government has a fine line to walk when it comes to building more homes.

A planning system overhaul has been unveiled as part of its pledge to deliver 1.5 million homes over the next five years.

Siobhain McDonagh’s own constituency is divided over plans to build more than 550 homes on the former gasworks site.

She says although residents’ concerns should be listened to, this is the right way forward.
