Ministers are trying to shift the focus on domestic violence by rolling out a trial across England and Wales after it cut physical abuse by 82%.

£53 million is expanding Drive, after its success in Croydon since 2018, and later expanded to Sutton.

The programme aims to target the behaviour of offenders, not just the aftermath of attacks.

It offers direct intervention, rehab support, and legal restrictions and also saw sexual harm fall by 88%.
