The Met Police wants to cut the number of front counters across London from 37 to 19, saving £7million of a £260 million budget gap.
The Lib Dems say crime in Merton has risen, with their research showing drug possession is up 8% and sexual offences are up 15%.
They say the Mayor of London is breaking his manifesto pledge to keep a 24/7 front counter in every borough.
