Marriott Hotels UK has begun using AI technology in its 53 hotels to monitor and reduce food waste

The technology supplied by Winnow earlier this year has resulted in a 25% reduction in food waste and has helped to mitigate an estimated 486 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.

Marriott Heathrow recently demonstrated the AI machine and some of their sustainability initiatives.

A ‘food lab’ has also been introduced where they’ve developed items such as vegetarian burgers and soap from food waste.
