A man who kidnapped a pensioner from Staines and forced him to transfer money from his bank account has been jailed for 14 years.
Jason Daniels broke into his victim’s home at 5am , gagged and tied him up with duct tape, then forced him into a car and drove him to Maidenhead where he was held first in a car park and then an apartment.
The victim, who’s 67, was eventually driven back home in an attempt to convince one of his two sons he was safe,
Daniels wAPs caught when the son, who thought his dad looked ill, called an ambulance and the victim was taken to hospital.
The sentence follows a trial at Kingston Crown Court where Daniels, who’s 43 and from Maidenhead, was convicted of the offence which happened in 2021.
