Major works are to start at Belmont Station in Sutton to prepare the area for the redevelopment of the London Cancer Hub.

Users are being told they will see major changes at Station Approach, which is the main pedestrian access route from Brighton Road.

£14million in government funding was approved for the station project in 2023 to double the frequency of trains by the end of 2027.

The London Cancer Hub is already Europe’s leading cancer research district and is undergoing a £1 billion redevelopment.
