Luke was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis at the age of 11 and has been campaigning to spread awareness about the condition.
If he succeeds in his swim, he will be the first person with juvenile arthritis ever to do so.
Luke came into Radio Jackie to talk about his experience with the disease, as well discuss the challenges he will face in the crossing.
