London’s largest so called Miyawaki Forest names after Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki is to launch in Feltham.

The initiative will see 5,500 trees planted in Blenheim Park alongside bird boxes and bug hotels.

The Miyawaki method was developed by the Japanese botanist it takes its name from, Akira Miyawaki.

It’s a fast-growing forestation technique that aims to quickly reconstruct indigenous woodlands on deforested or degraded land.
