Live Facial Recognition cameras have been deployed in Hounslow over the last 24 hours.

Met Police officers say they have been used in crime hotspot areas of the borough.

The government says the technology has been used in London to make 580 arrests in 12 months.

But campaign group, Big Brother Watch says the “significant expansion of the surveillance state” is “alarming”.
