Angela Rayner’s resigned from government following an ethics investigation into her tax affairs.

She’ll also step down as deputy leader of the Labour Party.

It’s after a standards report found she’d breached the ministerial code by underpaying tax on a new home.

It says she ‘acted with integrity’ but should have sought more advice.

Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Ed Davey says her position was no longer tenable.
