Lambeth Council is asking residents whether they’d agree to fortnightly collections for non-recyclable waste

The authority says the move would “boost recycling rates.”

It means non-recyclable items, like plastics and pet waste, would be collected every two weeks instead of every week as it is now.

The consultation doesn’t apply to people living in flats.
