Labour deputy leadership hopefuls will make their pitches to fellow MPs in hustings later.

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has emerged as the early frontrunner, closely followed by former Commons leader Lucy Powell.

MP for Clapham, Bell Ribeiro-Addy, is also in the race, aiming to secure enough MP backing to challenge the frontrunners

The candidates have until 5pm on Thursday to secure the support of 80 MPs in order to reach the next round.
