The first King’s Speech since 1950 has been delivered at Westminster outlining the government’s priorities for the year ahead.
His Majesty set out the Conservatives’ plans for more oil and gas drilling in the North Sea as well as tougher sentencing for some criminals.
Most of the content of the speech had already been announced by ministers.
