Kingston’s Council leader says “there are difficult decisions ahead about how to allocate the finite resources available.”

The authority is one of a number of authorities in London lobbying central Government for more funding.

Council leader, Andreas Kirsch, says reform is needed “to deliver a fairer deal for residents.”

But he also says that “careful financial management in recent years” puts the council in a stronger position than many others.
