A recent test of their Egret rocket produced the strongest thrust of any UK university-built engine that doesn’t use liquid oxygen.
The engine also ran for 15 seconds and achieved the best efficiency for its fuel type.
The students now hope to use it in a high-altitude rocket launch and break the UK amateur height record.
