It’s Notting Hill Carnival this weekend, and attendees are being asked to remember the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017.

During each day of the carnival, the sound system will be turned off for a moment of silence lasting 72 seconds, to remember the 72 lives lost.

At many points along the parade route, Grenfell Tower is clearly visible.

And in just a few weeks, the Grenfell Tower Inquiry’s final report into what led to the fire – and who was accountable – will be published.
