It’s claimed an analytical tool that identifies potential victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation has led to ‘multiple arrests’.

Thames Valley Police says it’s also prompted five current live criminal investigations.

The system, which works without individuals having to come forward, assesses adverts for adult services posted online.

Croydon has been highlighted as a key area of focus in efforts to combat human trafficking.

The tool is being used by 16 forces in the UK.
