That’s Debbie Webster played by Sue Devaney, who has recently been diagnosed with young onset dementia at the age of 57.

The storyline is acting as a form of support for the estimated 70,000 people in the UK who are living with it.

There are more than 2,000 people living with dementia in Sutton with that figure due to increase by 40% by 2040.

The council has set out its five-year plan with the aim of helping people to spot the signs of the disease and support those with it.

The plan is a partnership between a number of authorities including the Council, Age UK Sutton and the NHS.

There will be a strong focus on preventing dementia through lifestyle changes and helping those with the disease to live active lives.
