These are the words of a woman left with life-changing injuries after her partner attempted to kill her.
Richard Flower from Sunbury attacked his partner in the head with a knife while she slept on the sofa one night last August.
The victim had been in a long-term relationship with Flower but he experienced a deterioration in his mental health.
The 39-year-old became convinced she was cheating on him and attacked her again the next morning.
The injury to the victim’s jaw line left her with nerve damage leaving her with an injury that means she may never smile properly again.
Flower has been handed a 27-year sentence consisting of 23-years with a further four years on extended licence.
