The authority has published what it’s calling a “groundbreaking” report into the issues being faced by those seeking refuge.
These include cramped accommodation, inadequate cooking facilities and physical and mental health problems.
Councillor Tom Bruce says the report shows the Government needs to take action.
The Home Office says it’s working with contractors and councils to limit the impacts of the closure of hotels to asylum seekers.
