Heathrow Airport will be forced to reduce landing fees following a ruling by the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority.
The cap for landing charges will be set at an estimated £23.73 per passenger in 2025, around 6% lower than initially thought.
Heathrow had originally wanted to charge as much as £40 per passenger, in a bid to aid post pandemic financial recovery.
As landing fees are often reflected in ticket prices, its thought this cap will reduce costs for future flyers.
