Grants of up to £1,000 are being offered to people across Richmond who can help the borough prepare for adverse weather events.

The council says the money could be used for a number of projects including installing rain gardens or planting trees.

The funding is part of a project between the authority, Barnes Common Limited and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust.

The deadline for applications is Monday the 2nd of September.
